Mr. Escalante’s view on learning is that every child can learn from a teacher that gets them engage. Also, students learn from each other’s. Mr. Escalante’s view on teaching is that you can use various strategies to teach a child. The way you teach a child determines if you were passionate or not on teaching the student. Mr. Escalante thinks that his students can do it. He think that even though they act disrespectful that they are knowledgeable by saying encouraging words such as “come on you can do it”. I think that Mr. Escalante is trying to engage every student into his lesson. Yes he is succeeding because he asked the inattentive student a question and whispered into his ear “Come on, you can do it”. The student did answer and he asked the entire class to repeat a formula which they all followed. If I had Mr. Escalante’s class, my approach would be to sit in front of the class and listen attentively. He seems that his students can all be the best.
